Adorable Gender Reveal Theme: He or She? What Will this Cutie Be?

We were so excited to host this fun party with the gender reveal theme, He or She? What Will This Cutie Be? Oranges were the main detail of this theme and they were incorporated throughout from the table decor to the signage. The couple wanted to include unique elements like a backdrop with a balloon installation and a play area for the kids so we loved seeing those details come to life. The Ashbury is the perfect space to host events like this, so we’re excited to share a recap of the event!

Orange Gender Reveal Theme

To give a nod to the Cuties in the gender reveal theme, orange was incorporated throughout the table decor. There was greenery with bunches of oranges on top of white crochet runners to add pops of color on each of the tables. Flowers in shades of orange and white in antique glass vases were placed on the table to add height and color. Orange and green were also incorporated through the orange and green detailing on the edge of the plates. The overall look was very warm and inviting and tied perfectly into the gender reveal theme.

Another detail that we loved from this gender reveal theme was the arched backdrop with a balloon installation. For the backdrop, the couple chose white, orange, and green arches with the words He or She? printed on the center one. The arches were adorned with balloons of various sizes in shades of green and orange along with some greenery. They also added a stuffed giraffe in a canvas tent as a fun addition. Guests enjoyed getting to take photos in front of the arched backdrop!

Special Play Area for Kids

Since there were going to be kids at the party, it was important that the party be planned with them in mind. The family decided to include a soft play area for the kids to enjoy. It was a huge hit with the kids since it had a ball pit, slides, blocks to play with, and places to climb! The family also requested another gorgeous balloon installation near the play area which was designed to look like a tree. We loved this additional design element and how it served as another place for a photo opp.

Orange Gender Reveal Details

There were several other details that we loved about this gender reveal theme. First, the welcome signage and bar signage incorporated oranges through beautiful illustrations. The couple also used our industrial shelves to hold an orange welcome drink (a sorbet spritzer) for guests to enjoy as they arrived. They also had sugar cookies decorated with various orange and green designs in keeping with the orange gender reveal theme.
